Well one month ago we were ready to go to Wembley, Neil's last day at work and great excitement at the prospect of seeing those famous arches.
We had a fantastic day, it was beautiful weather, it was fantastic atmosphere from the Scunny fans and it was great to be inside the stadium. Lu and Matilda had there five minutes of fame when they were filmed and interviewed... shame we didn't know who for or by!
The Luton fans were probably some of the worst fans I have ever known. I'd always felt sorry for the way they had been treated by the FA but as a group of men shouted some of the worst obscenities at us as a family as we were parking the car my sympathy began to fade. Then when they scored the second goal a whole group of 'fans' on the first tier near to scunny fans took their shirts off and were waving them round, followed by dropping their shorts... often to reveal rather dirty and no doubt stained underpants. To my total disgust the Wembley officials took no action against them but just told them not to do it again. Well if that is what your fans are like you deserve all you get!
Apart from that and the final score it was a great day and we all have memories to remember when days are tough in Albania.... now for the week ahead!
